Renée Gros and Tiago Guy are frequent collaborators, both in music and in life. The couple first met in the spring of 2021, and immediately recognized their mutual affinity for songwriting and American Roots Music. The following spring they took their music to the streets, forming a band under Renée’s name that performed weekly in various clubs on Frenchmen Street. Within the year they made it to many of New Orleans’ most well-known stages including Tipitina’s, the Maple Leaf Bar, and Chickie Wah Wah.

Within the past year they have opened for national acts including the Indiana-based alternative Blues/Rock sensations, Houndmouth, at the Toulouse Theatre, and hometown favorites, Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen and Galactic, respectively, at Tipitina’s. They made their New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this past April and look forward to making their Gretna Heritage Festival debut this October.

Their collaboration has also continued to flourish in the studio; both Renée and Tiago are heavily involved in each other’s musical projects, including Tiago’s upcoming album, Paper Thin, coming out this November, and Renée’s upcoming album, due in 2025.
